Digital transformation of Donations reporting in Israel in January 2026

In accordance with the directives of the Israeli Tax Authority, starting January 1, 2026, all public organizations approved under Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance will be required to report all donations (trumot) and donation cancellations through the Tax Authority’s Digital Donation Reporting System.

Amendment 272 (Milchan Law) in Israel: Changes Effective from January 1, 2026. What’s new for the Olim?

Effective January 1, 2026, Amendment 272 to Israel’s Tax Ordinance, commonly referred to as the Milchan Law, will come into force. The amendment introduces a significant change: repatriates who immigrate to Israel after January 1, 2026 will continue to enjoy an exemption from paying taxes on foreign income, yet they will be obligated to report and declare all foreign income and assets.
